A Harvard University philosophy major, he has therefore naturally worked as a writer for television comedies and quiz shows, writing jokes for such comedians as Flip Wilson, Lily Tomlin, and impressionist David Fry. Klein is also the co-author of the international bestseller Plato and a Platypus Walk into a Bar: Understanding Philosophy through Jokes. This book deconstructs the double-talk, high-falutin’ prose, and deliberate disingenuousness of politicians.

Klein’s lecture is titled, “My Latest Novel – I’m Serious this Time!”, and will feature his upcoming novel, The History of Now, due out in March 2009 from Permanent Press.
